In the summer of 2008, my business partner and I created an executive office center that had special phone requirements. We needed the capability to quickly set up and remove phone service for our clients, without waiting on the phone company. We were also aware of Voice over IP (VoIP) technology and we knew the potential cost savings it afforded. What we were lacking was the technology knowledge to be able to install and run this ourselves.
Luckily for us, I was introduced to Scott Brown from Centritech at a business meeting. Scott and his staff met and exceeded our expectations when it came to the implementation and continued support for our phone system. This system is comprised of a T1 purchased from a local SIP provider, an Asterisk UNIX-based phone server and Linksys VoIP phones all running on CAT5 cables and using POE switches. We currently have 27 phones in place, with the capability to add another 70 phones. We also use ATA TAP devices to allow fax machines to be on the network. Scott trained us to do the great majority of all the changes to the system, adding and deleting phones, updating the system information and minor troubleshooting. Centritech has been responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive. We enjoy the ongoing relationship we have with them and I would recommend their services to another organization.
